What is Puppy Preschool?
Scott-Fox Puppy Preschool provides care and training of puppies from ages 8 weeks to 6 months, which includes the crucial formative period of 2 to 4 months. The Puppy Preschool is an exclusive service held in a 1,200 sq. ft. training facility in Altadena, CA. Class sizes are limited, and we only accept 12-14 puppies in total at one time. Regular hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM, excluding holidays (extended hours are available upon request.)

Daily Schedule
A schedule for puppy care is planned and followed each day. Enrichment activities are facilitated by Scott-Fox Puppy Preschool staff and interspersed with basic training and general care activities such as feeeding, sleeping, and eliminating.
Activities
An effort is made to alternate more vigorous play activities, mentally focused activities, and basic obedience and handling with more sedentary activities such as self-entertainment, crate training, napping, and feeding.

Enrichment
Enrichment activities for all puppies (included in our standard services) will include music and/or sound exposure, indoor play, walking on leash, crate training, handing practice, visual stimulation (including exposure to various types of clothing on people such as hats, hoods, coats, boots, etc.), and exposure to basic grooming equipment (brush, toothbrush, blow dryer).
Play
Play activities may be with other puppies or a specially trained adult dog, depending on the needs of each puppy.
